Sporting Kansas City has acquired midfielder Paulo Nagamura from Chivas USA for a first-round pick in next year's Major League Soccer supplemental draft.
The 28-year-old Brazilian-born player, who spent three year's in Arsenal's youth program, has 11 goals in 99 appearances over five seasons with Chivas USA.
As part of Tuesday's deal, Chivas USA gets back the first-round pick it sent to Kansas City last week as part of the trade that sent midfielder Ryan Smith to Chivas USA. Kansas City keeps the third-round selection it received in last week's deal.
