Will Bruin scored three goals and the Houston Dynamo extended their unbeaten streak to six games with a 4-1 victory over DC United on Friday night.

The rookie from Indiana gave Houston (3-1-3, 12 points) the lead in the fourth minute. He took a pass through the D.C. defense from Geoff Cameron and punched it in from 14 yards out in the left box.

United (2-4-1, 7 points) tied it on Marc Burch's goal off a free kick in the 39th.

Bruin answered in the 41st minute after taking Brad Davis' cross from the right and heading it in from 7 yards out in the center. He added another header in the 57th minute off Davis' free kick to make him the first Houston rookie to record a hat trick, and the first MLS rookie to do it since Zack Schilawski had one on April 10, 2010, against Toronto FC.
