The Colorado Rapids have acquired defender Marvell Wynne in a trade with Toronto FC.
The Rapids announced the trade in a statement Thursday.
In exchange, Colorado sent midfielder Nick LaBrocca and a third-round pick in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft to Toronto.
Wynne had a career-high five assists with Toronto last season and was a member of the U.S. men's team that competed at the Beijing Olympics. The former No. 1 pick has played in 96 career MLS games, recording two goals and 13 assists.

LaBrocca appeared in 61 games with 57 starts and scored four goals for Colorado after being drafted by the Rapids with the 35th overall pick in the 2007 SuperDraft.
