Julian Posada, who helped launch the Spanish-language newspaper Hoy in both Los Angeles and Chicago, is the new president of the Chicago Fire.

Posada's appointment was announced Thursday. He replaces Dave Greeley, who resigned last month, and will be in charge of operations for both the team and Toyota Park.

Posada most recently was president and founder of Cafe Media, a multimedia company targeting second- and third-generation Hispanics.
