The Philadelphia Union will host Scotland's Glasgow Celtic at PPL Park on July 14 in place of an exhibition against Spain's Valencia that had been announced in March.
Union president Tom Veit said Tuesday that Valencia and its promoter ``backed out of the agreement that was reached with the Union and other MLS teams.''
Bolton of England's Premier League will play at Toronto FC on July 21 in an exhibition that is called the Carlsberg Cup. Bolton's roster includes American midfielder Stuart Holden, who returned last weekend from a broken leg and was selected Tuesday for the 30-man preliminary U.S. World Cup roster.
