The New York Red Bulls have signed goalkeeper Alex Horwath.
The MLS team did not disclosed contract terms in announcing the signing Friday.
The 23-year-old Horwath spent parts of last season with San Jose and Seattle Sounders but did not play in any games.
Horwath started 52 games and posted 17 shutouts in three years at the University of Wisconsin. His collegiate career began at Connecticut, where he redshirted in 2005 due to a knee injury and did not play in 2006.
