MLS Commissioner Don Garber has fined the New York Red Bulls $10,000 for publicly criticizing a game official.
Garber announced the discipline Friday, saying a statement released by Red Bulls general manager Erik Soler on Monday ''undermines our substantial efforts'' to improve the league.
Soler denounced referee Ricardo Salazar's officiating in New York's 3-3 draw at Portland on Sunday night.
