Chivas USA forward Alan Gordon has received a two-game suspension and fine from MLS for his violent conduct during a match against Toronto FC.

The MLS said Wednesday that Gordon was suspended and fined for actions in the 74th minute against Toronto FC defender Adrian Cann in a 3-0 win Saturday night. Gordon will be fined $1,000.

He received a caution from referees, and the MLS disciplinary committee decided it was violent conduct and a red-card offense.

Gordon will sit out matches Friday at Seattle and Oct. 20 at San Jose.
