Fire waives Busch

The Chicago Fire have released Jon Busch, who started every game for them the past two seasons and was the MLS goaltender of the year in 2008.
Busch, acquired on waivers in 2007, appeared in 66 straight regular-season games and playoff matches and played in every minute from 2008-09 for Chicago.
During his three seasons with the Fire, he appeared in 79 games and compiled a 31-25-23 record with 27 shutouts.
Busch broke into the MLS in 2002 with the Columbus Crew. His career saves percentage in the MLS is 75.9 percent and his goals-against average is 1.20.
