Zach Johnson is bummed about giving back the Claret Jug
Golf is right in the middle of a very rapid major championship swing, with U.S. Open, British Open and PGA Championship all to be decided in a six-week span.
While the PGA Tour is off this week after the Greenbrier Classic was canceled due to devastating flooding in West Virginia, many pros are already in the United Kingdom playing in the European Tour's Scottish Open or simply practicing on links courses ahead of next week's British Open at Royal Troon.
Last year's British Open winner Zach Johnson has to give up possession of the Claret Jug, and he's understandably not happy about it.
Sad day on #SSI. The #Jug is heading home to Scotland...hoping to come back to SE Georgia soon. Here we come Troon! pic.twitter.com/8iLOo3A0Z6

Johnson, who is from Iowa, might have been the first Open champion to eat a cob of corn out of the jug.
As an Iowan, this Jug has multi-purposes... pic.twitter.com/dROnlb3uwZ
