Tiger has a terrible outing in first round of US Open
By Justin Hathaway
Tiger Woods defiantly told a reporter earlier this week that he still could win a U.S. Open. Two days later, he completely proved that reporter’s point.
Woods, a 14-time major champion, played like a municipal-course hack Thursday at the U.S. Open, firing a 10-over-par 80 that ended any questions about his ability to win the tournament.
Woods’ round literally slipped away from him in the rough at Chambers Bay.

It went downhill from there, as he shanked his ball into an enormous bunker on No. 18 to close his round.

“Rickie” is Rickie Fowler, who shot an 81. So Tiger has that going for him, which is nice.
