Shark gambles on struggling Scott

Adam Scott virtually rolled off the gurney on his way into surgery when he got the 11th-hour phone call from Greg Norman that even he did not expect.

Given a chance by his fellow Aussie to salvage a miserable season next week with the International Team in the Presidents Cup, Scott will play a warmup beginning Thursday in the Turning Stone Resort Championship, the first event of the Fall Series on the PGA Tour.
