The short par-4 5th hole is driveable for the Ryder Cup players at Hazeltine, but Sergio Garcia's blast off the tee flew into a marshal's pocket near the green.

Team Europe got a free drop after the ball was retrieved.

In the afternoon session, Brooks Koepka hit a drive that bounced and came to rest on the top of a man's backpack. The spectator was actually the father of Thomas Pieters.
