Former champion Colin Montgomerie has dropped out of the Hong Kong Open ahead of Friday's second round, prematurely ending his 25th year on the European Tour.
Organizers said Montgomerie informed officials he was suffering with a foot injury and has returned home to Scotland.
Also withdrawing ahead of the second are India pair Chiragh Kumar and Digvijay Singh. Both players posted 10-over par first-round scores of 80.
Montgomerie won the 2005 Hong Kong Open. He finished tied for 6th at this year's Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles for his best finish in over four years.
