Mickelson: Do-nut use my likeness!
Golfer Phil Mickelson threatened Krispy Kreme with legal action when he found out that the donut chain was using his image without permission, TMZ reported Wednesday.
Mickelson discovered a billboard display had been erected in one of the firm's shops in Augusta, Ga., to commemorate the golf legend's famous visit there after he won the 2010 Masters tournament.
Krispy Kreme removed the display after one of the golfer's legal representatives visited the shop last week and threatened legal action if images were not removed, according to TMZ sources.
Mickelson made headlines last year when he visited the Krispy Kreme store to buy 36 donuts, wearing the green jacket he was awarded for winning the Masters a day earlier.
The golfer's reps had no official comment.
