Lucy Li continues to make history.

The 10-year-old Li, of Redwood Shores, Calif., became the youngest person to qualify for the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links before making match play at the event last month. Now she can add youngest qualifier in U.S. Women's Amateur history to her resume.

Li shot 5-over 75 in sectional qualifying Friday at Sequoyah Country Club in Oakland, Calif., to qualify for the event, which will be held Aug. 5-11. Li will be 10 years, 10 months and 4 days old on the first day of competition next month at the Country Club of Charleston (S.C.).

Last year, Latanna Stone was 10 years, 11 months and 2 days old when she played in the 2012 U.S. Women's Amateur in Pepper Pike, Ohio.
