Jason Kokrak, a two-time winner this year on the Nationwide Tour who is set to join the PGA Tour next season, shot a 3-under 69 on Friday at Spyglass for a share of the lead with Kyle Thompson in the Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational.

Thompson followed his opening 64 with a 70 at Del Monte to match Kokrak at 10-under 134.

''I hit the ball really well,'' said Kokrak, who had five birdies and two bogeys. ''But I could have shot six or seven strokes (under) if I could have putted the ball better.''

Thompson, who next season will rejoin the PGA Tour full-time after a four-season absence, had five birdies and two bogeys.

''It's a tough course and it was tough to make putts out there,'' said Thompson, who had a hole-in one in the opening round and played Del Monte for the first time in his career in the second round. ''Other than, I hit the ball well.''

PGA Tour veterans Chez Reavie (67), Kevin Sutherland (68) Blake Adams (69) and Jeff Gove, a three-time Nationwide Tour winner whose 66 at Del Monte was the day's low round, are tied at 6-under.

Defending champion John Mallinger had a 76 at Del Monte to finish at 6 over.

Leta Lindley, who had a 72 at Spyglass en to a 1-over total, paced the eight LPGA entrants.

Russ Cochran, the reigning U.S. Senior Open titlist, had a 70 at Del Monte, and led the 10 Champions Tour entrant at 142.

The event is the only tournament that features head-to-head competition among players from the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, Champions Tour and Nationwide Tour.
