Justin Thomas feels that another major 63 is in his future

He knows how it sounds, but Justin Thomas is pretty sure he hasn't shot his last 63 in a major. "I mean, this sounds probably pretty arrogant, but I feel like I'll shoot another 63 in a major at some point in my career. I don't know if it will ever happen, but I feel like I have the game to do so," he said ahead of the Quicken Loans National.
Thomas also chided Johnny Miller, whose 63 at Oakmont in 1973 is one of four records of that score in a U.S. Open. "I haven't looked at who did it. I know Johnny Miller has because he reminds us of that quite a bit," Thomas said. Miller didn't waste time discrediting Thomas's record-breaking third round at Erin Hills. "Erin Hills isn't exactly Oakmont," he said soon after Thomas had signed his scorecard, and then went on to compare the course to a "PGA Tour event course set up."
