You can add another marquee name to Sean Foley's impressive stable of students.

Lee Westwood, ranked No. 12 in the Official World Golf Ranking, has joined forces with Foley in recent weeks, hoping to join world No. 3 Justin Rose in a major-winner's circle.

Foley also has World No. 1 Tiger Woods and No. 23 Hunter Mahan on his overflowing plate of talent.

Westwood split with coach Pete Cowen in August 2012 and has been looking "for a new set of eyes," according to James Corrigan of the Telegraph newspaper of London.

“When you look at what Sean has achieved with Tiger and Justin, plus the likes of Hunter Mahan, you’ve got to say he is in the top drawer as a coach,” Westwood told Corrigan. “He, obviously, knows his stuff.”

Under Foley, Rose has risen from No. 83 to No. 3 in the world. Woods has won four times on the PGA Tour in 2013 since leaving Hank Haney in the midst of Woods' unraveling marriage and sex scandal in 2010.

“What (Sean) had to say has been pretty simple to follow,” Westwood said. “And that’s really appealed to me. I don’t want to get overloaded with gimmicky stuff."
