Andrew Dodt is the first to record two aces during the same round on the European Tour, the tour reported on its website Friday.
Dodt's holes-in-one came at Nos. 7 and 11 during the second round of the Nordea Masters at Bro Hof Slott GC in Stockholm, Sweden. Having teed off at No. 10, the first ace came on his second hole of the round.
"The 11th I was pretty still, and it was the perfect club for a 6-iron, little draw, and it was slam dunk straight in the hole," Dodt said.
It wasn't for another 14 holes that he'd record his next hole-in-one. Of course, some golfers never repeat the rare feat.
“It was an 8-iron, felt a little bit heavy at the start, but right on line and it went in," Dodt said. It was his ninth ace — and one that helped him make the cut without a stroke to spare.
“I didn’t putt very well today, so I’m glad I was able to hole with a long club,” he said.
