Despite iffy back, Tiger Woods still favored to win US Open

Tiger Woods has got to win another major eventually, right?

That's pretty much what everyone has been saying since his U.S. Open win in 2008. Even Jack Nicklaus, the man Woods is chasing, believes so. The question is when, not if, and not in relation to his next win, but when he'll be back on the course, period.

He missed the first Masters of his pro career because of back surgery. He’s pretty iffy for the U.S. Open at Pinehurst, too, so it’s a tough question to answer.

Yet, somehow, Woods is still favored to with the U.S. Open. He and Rory McIlroy are each 10/1 favorites on online betting site, Bovada. Adam Scott has the next best odds at 12/1.

This all coming after his pal Notah Begay said Woods will likely miss it.

No fear, though, Woods is also the favorite to win the Open Championship at Hoylake in July. He's 7/1 there.

This just proves that even though he's on a six-year drought, sports books still won’t bet against him.
