The first round of the Champions Tour's ACE Group Classic has been suspended due to high winds.

Due to strong winds Friday, only nine of 81 players in the field completed the round. Ronnie Black shot a 3-under 69 for the clubhouse lead, while Fred Couples and Tommy Armour were also at 3 under after 10 and 11 holes, respectively.

Play was suspended at 12:39 p.m. when a number of holes were deemed unplayable. Golfers were allowed to finish the hole they were on, then called off the course at 1 p.m. Play was called for the day forty-five minutes later.

The first round will resume at 8 a.m. Saturday. Players will then be re-paired for the second round, which is scheduled to tee off at 12:30 p.m.
