AKRON, Ohio (AP) Dustin Johnson won't ground his club in the same bunker on the 18th hole at Whistling Straits next week in the PGA Championship.

It's been covered up.

Graeme McDowell played a practice round at Whistling Straits and noticed a stand over the bunker. That's where Johnson set his 4-iron in the sand, not realizing it was a bunker in the 2010 PGA Championship. The two-shot penalty kept him out of a playoff.

PGA of America championship director Kerry Haigh confirmed in an email that a portion of the bunker will not be in play this year.

Haigh said more grandstands and viewing areas have been erected to enhance viewing for spectators. He says that includes right of the 18th fairway and covers part of the bunker where Johnson played his shot.
