AALBORG, Denmark (AP) Denmark's Thomas Bjorn boosted his chances of securing a spot in Europe's Ryder Cup team by remaining atop of the Made in Denmark leaderboard on Friday before a lightning threat temporarily halted proceedings on the second day.
Bjorn together with Wales' Bradley Dredge made their way to the clubhouse having leveled par for the day.
The Dane played seven holes Friday, cancelling out a dropped shot on one by birdying the par five fourth. The Welshman parred the opening three holes to remain in touch with the home crowd favorite.
Bjorn hasn't played in the Ryder Cup since 2002 but a victory in Aalborg will guarantee him a spot in the European team for the match against United States at Gleneagles next month.
