COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) Chuck Hodge has been appointed the technical director at USA Cycling. Hodge replaces Mark Guthart, who was hired last year to replace the fired Shawn Farrell.
Hodge has spent much of his career advising and consulting with race directors and cycling organizations. He was the technical director for the recent road cycling world championships in Richmond, Virginia, along with the Tour of California and Tour of Missouri.
His appointment was announced Saturday by chief executive Derek Bouchard-Hall, and continues a series of shake-ups within the national governing body. Bouchard-Hall was hired earlier this year.
