It's a Tour record with all 198 riders starting Stage 7

LAC DE PAYOLLE, France (AP) All 198 riders have started Stage 7 of the Tour de France for the first time in 103 editions.

The 162.5-kilometer (101-mile) leg from L'Isle-Jourdain to Lac de Payolle on Friday is the opening stage in the Pyrenees, featuring the legendary Col d'Aspin climb shortly before the finish.

Greg Van Avermaet of Belgium is wearing the yellow jersey for a second day.

Fresh off his third stage win a day earlier, Mark Cavendish was involved in an early breakaway along with world champion Peter Sagan.

Overall favorites Chris Froome and Nairo Quintana could be a factor on the Aspin, which is being included in the Tour for the 73rd time.
