Won't be long before Boykin's back throwing footballs again

Heisman Trophy candidate quarterback Trevone Boykin missed TCU's spring game to undergo surgery to his left wrist, on his non-throwing hand.

Coach Gary Patterson said he expects his senior leader to be fully recovered by the end of May, if not sooner.

"He’ll be good," Patterson said during a conference call with reporters Tuesday. "He’s finishing up school, getting ready to go and doing all the other things he needs to do to have a great senior year."

Boykin played through the injury for the latter part of the season, although it hardly affected his production. He passed for a school-record 3,901 yards and 33 touchdown passes to lead TCU to a 12-1 record.
