Wisconsin Football: Star Kicker Out for Season
Badgers Lose Star Kicker For Season
Wisconsin Football will be without place kicker Rafael Gaglianone for the remainder of the season. A truly tough loss for the Badgers who continue to battle injuries on all sides of the ball.
Gagliagone missed last weeks game at Michigan State, but reports were that he had been coming along and would be healthy. However it appears as though Rafael will miss significant time with the same lingering back injury.
Gagliagone was held out of parts of spring ball with the back injury and appeared hobbled after a made field goal in the Georgia State game. It appears as though the injury is a continuing plague for Wisconsin’s star kicker and he will miss significant time because of it. Place kicker Andrew Endicott will take over kicking duties. He was 1 for 1 on field goal attempts last Saturday, nailing a 41 yarder. Endicott feels as though he is hitting the ball well, and in turn that will hopefully translate to positive results on the field. The Senior will have big kicking shoes to fill for the rest of the season, but appears confident in his abilities.
