Williams leads Bethune-Cookman past Morgan State 38-14

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) Quentin Williams threw for 257 yards on 16-of-19 passing and Bethune-Cookman scored 17 unanswered points in the second half to roll over Morgan State 38-14 on Saturday night.

Williams threw for one score on 16-of-19 passing for the Wildcats who have won eight of their last nine games.

Bethune-Cookman (8-2, 6-1 Mid-Eastern Atlantic) had a slim 14-7 lead with 3:39 left in the second quarter when Marquis Drayton picked off a Moses Skillon pass and returned it 30 yards for a score.

Morgan State (3-5, 3-3) answered when Skillon, who threw for 227 yards, passed to Landen Malbrough from the 10 for a score to trail 21-14 at the break. The Wildcats scored 17 unanswered points while holding Morgan State to just 91 total yards in the second half.

Williams threw to 11 different receivers. Jewill Davis had four catches for 69 yards and Frank Brown pulled down three and one touchdown.
