William &amp, Mary 26, Rhode Island 7

Michael Paulus threw for 193 yards and one touchdown and William & Mary defeated Rhode Island 26-7 on Saturday night.

William & Mary (5-1, 3-1 Colonial Athletic Association) jumped out to a 13-0 lead with two field goals by Drake Kuhn and a 17-yard TD pass from Paulus to Ryan Moody.

The Rams countered with Ayo Isijola's 20-yard touchdown run to make it 13-7 at halftime.

Courtland Marriner's 3-yard TD run capped a 19-play, 97-yard drive with 10:16 to go as the Tribe took 8:15 off the clock.

Rhode Island (2-3, 1-1) promptly turned the ball over with Evan Francks intercepting a Steve Probst pass and returning it 2 yards to the Rams 29. William & Mary scored five plays later on Terrence Riggins' 9-yard run.

Jonathan Grimes gained 77 yards on 20 carries and caught three passes for 20 yards to become William & Mary's career leader for all-purpose yards.
