Plenty of defensive players likely dream about returning an interception for a touchdown -- and they don’t get much easier than the kind that fell into the lap of Iowa defensive end Parker Hesse on Friday vs. Nebraska.
With the game tied at seven in the second quarter, the Cornhuskers were buried deep in their own territory. Quarterback Tommie Armstrong Jr. was looking for the running back coming out of the backfield, but Hesse was able to get his big paw in the air and bat the ball before catching it -- and walking a couple of steps into the end zone:
With its win vs. the 'Huskers on Friday, Iowa finishes the regular season unbeaten heading into next week’s Big Ten Championship game, where the Hawkeyes will face either Michigan, Michigan State or Ohio State.
