The 2014 season was a disastrous one for Syracuse, as the Orange lost nine of its last 10 games to finish with the year with a 3-9 record. However, there is cause for optimism in 2015. Promising quarterback Terrel Hunt appears to be back and healthy again after fracturing his fibula during the fifth game of the season against Louisville.
Also, this year will be the first that the Orange offense will be under the direction of Tim Lester for a full season.
In this YouTube video posted by Jay Alter of Citrus TV, both Hunt and Shafer felt Syracuse has made progress during the offseason.
