Washington State's passing game could be tough for Ducks to stop

In last year's matchup between Washington State and Oregon in Pullman, the Cougars completed 43 passes for 436 yards and four touchdowns. While the Ducks won 38-31, the Oregon secondary was completely exposed.

This season, the Ducks rank No. 115 in the nation in pass defense, while the Cougars rank No. 7 in passing offense. In other words, it could be a long day for the Ducks' defense.

Cougars QB Luke Falk is throwing more than 50 pass attempts per game this season and he's completing over 72 percent of those throws. More importantly, Washington State has a slew of dangerous receivers, including Gabe Marks, River Cracraft and Dom Williams.

Oregon will be without its top cornerback, Chris Seisay, meaning that young cornerbacks such as Ugo Amadi and Arrion Springs will have to be at their best come Saturday.

As always, it will be important for the Ducks to force turnovers. The Ducks forced three turnovers against Colorado, which proved to be valuable as the Ducks only allowed seven points in the second half of the 41-24 victory.
