WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) Wake Forest coach Dave Clawson is sticking with sophomore John Wolford as starting quarterback against Louisville, though mobile freshman Kendall Hinton will also play.

Clawson said Tuesday he pulled Wolford quickly from last weekend's loss against North Carolina State after he took numerous hits because he couldn't move well enough to avoid pressure due to an ankle injury. Clawson also called the offensive line's performance its worst of the season.

Hinton ran for 107 yards and two touchdown, including a 69-yard scoring keeper.

Clawson said Wolford and Hinton are splitting practice reps, though playing time could depend on how well the offensive line is blocking and whether receivers are getting open downfield quickly.
