Dominique Williams ran for 180 yards on 26 carries to lead Wagner past St. Francis (Pa.) 38-28 in the Northeast Conference season opener for both teams Saturday.

Williams, who had two touchdowns, scored on a 5-yard run to give the Seahawks a 17-7 lead at halftime.

St. Francis running back Kyle Harbridge paced the Red Flash with 154 yards and two touchdowns - a 2-yard run in the third quarter and a 3-yard run in the fourth - to draw his team within three points of the lead.

But with three minutes left to play, the Seahawks again put the ball in Williams' hands.
