USC LB Lamar Dawson cleared to play for first time since 2013
When USC begins their Pac-12 season on Saturday, they'll have another familiar face available on their sidelines.
Linebacker Lamar Dawson, a redshirt senior, last saw action in 2013. He missed all of 2014, recovering from surgery. He was medically unable to play the first two games of the season. But according to the Los Angeles Times, Lawson is available for action vs. Stanford this weekend. He'll share time with freshman Cameron Smith.

“He hasn’t played for a little while but Lamar’s a heady player,” said coach Steve Sarkisian. “He’s a savvy player, he’s got a good feel, he’s kind of slippery getting off blocks, making plays."
