For USC fans, it feels like the Trojans haven't made a second-half comeback in recent memory. This is further evidenced by poor play on offense after halftime.

This season, USC has come out of the gates strong. The Trojans average 8.1 yards per play in the first two quarters of the game. But according to Bleacher Report's Bryan Fischer, USC averages just 6.5 yards per play in the second half. The 1.6-yard adjustment is a major falloff, and shows that USC could use better planning at halftime.

Notre Dame outscored USC in the second half on Saturday, 17-7.
