The Michigan football team is having a movie night. The Wolverines are watching American Sniper, the biopic of the deadliest sniper in U.S. military history, Chris Kyle, played by Bradley Cooper.

The film got good reviews and did incredibly well at the box office. Some, though, were offended by it because of Kyle’s reported "anti-Muslim" actions. Some of those offended people attend the University of Michigan.

Michigan was planning on holding a free screening of the film on campus, but cancelled the showing after a "group of about 300 students signed a letter which stated that ‘Middle Eastern characters in the film are not lent an ounce of humanity and watching this movie is provocative and unsafe to [Middle Eastern and North African] and Muslim students who are too often reminded of how little the media and the world values their lives.’"

Jim Harbaugh does not care if you are offended by the film and posted on Twitter this evening:

Michigan Football will watch “American Sniper”! Proud of Chris Kyle & Proud to be an American & if that offends anybody then so be it!

We’ve said it once but we’ll say it again: nobody is a better follow on Twitter than Jim Harbaugh.
