Gabe Manzanares rushed for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns as UC Davis defeated Sacramento State 34-7 on Saturday.

Manzanares had the bulk of the Aggies' (5-7, 5-2 Big Sky) 188 rushing yards and scored from the 2 and the 33 in the first quarter. Manusamoa Luuga added a 14-yard TD run as UC Davis led 21-0 by early in the second quarter.

Garrett Safron completed 22 of 33 passes for 221 yards for Sacramento State (5-7, 4-4). Safron threw incomplete as the Hornets failed to convert a fourth-and-three at the 27 on the game-opening drive, and it was all Manzanares when UC Davis took over. Manzanares caught three passes - including a 36-yarder - and rushed three times on the six-play drive to make it 7-0.

The Hornets missed a field goal on their second possession and Manzanares rushed up the middle 33 yards to make it 14-0.
