For Saturday's game versus Kansas State, the Red Raiders took the field in alternate uniforms honoring wounded members of the armed forces. The predominantly red, gray and black outfits feature nameplates sporting the slogan “NEVER QUIT."

The special uniforms, which were provided by Under Armour, will be auctioned off after the game, and the money raised will be put towards the Wounded Warrior project dedicated to helping veterans returning from service, according to FOX 34 News (Lubbock).

“Anytime you go through a hardship you start figuring out exactly what you're made of," said Chad Fleming, who sustained a war injury as a serviceman. "I thought I had everything right where I wanted it, and then you get injured and you've got to pick up the pieces. You can either sit there and feel sorry for yourself or you can get back together and get out there and start doing things because life's too short, you got to keep moving."

Not only do the uniforms raise funds and awareness for good cause, but they also look pretty awesome. Check them out below.

This isn't the first time the Red Raiders have honored the troops with their jerseys. The football team also wore Wounded Warrior outfits in 2010 and 2011 in games versus the University of Missouri and Oklahoma State, respectively.
