Terrance Owens threw for 303 yards and a touchdown to lead Toledo past Bowling Green 27-15 in a Mid-American Conference game on Saturday.

Owens completed 20 of 28 passes without an interception.

Alonzo Russell caught six passes for Toledo (2-1, 1-0 Mid-American) for 156 yards, including a 66-yard reception to open the scoring, and David Fluellen ran for 81 yards and two TDs.

Toledo, which led 17-3 at the half, was far more efficient in the passing game, averaging 11.1 yards per reception to Bowling Green's 6.0, and the Falcons (1-2, 0-1)) sputtered on third down, converting only 4 of 13 attempts. Bowling Green was 1 for 3 on fourth down.

Anthon Samuel rushed 16 times for 112 yards and a touchdown for Bowling Green.

Toledo has won the past three games in the 77-game series between the teams.
