Three Huskers picked in NFL Draft

Published May. 3, 2015 9:27 p.m. ET

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have have multiple players drafted into the NFL every year since 1969 and the streak didn't end this season.

One of the most discussed prospects in this draft was Huskers defensive end/outside linebacker Randy Gregory. With his stock falling dramatically, he was not the first Nebraska player selected. That honor went to Ameer Abdullah who was selected with the 22nd pick of the second round by the Detroit Lions.

The aforementioned Gregory was selected shortly after that with the 28th pick in the second round but the Dallas Cowboys. Speedy wide receiver Kenny Bell was picked with the 26th pick in the 5th round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
