MIDNIGHT AT ILLINOIS
Illinois will have Huff Hall packed for its men's basketball Midnight Madness tonight in Champaign. Among the players who will be attending are Tracy Abrams, Mount Carmel; Peyton Allen, Chatham Glenwood; Darius Austin and Raymond Doby, Cahokia; Larry Austin, Lanphier; Nnanna Egwu, St. Ignatius; Alvin Ellis and Jaylon Tate, De La Salle; Tommy Hamilton, Jahlil Okafor and Paul White, Young; Mycheal Henry and Curtis Jones, Orr; Tevin King, Providence-St. Mel; Vic Law, St. Rita; Kendrick Nunn, Jabari Parker and Steve Taylor, Simeon; Chasson Randle, Rock Island; Paul Turner, St. Joseph; Preston Wells, Peoria Richwoods, and Malik Yarbrough, Zion-Benton.
The City Games
Public League champions will be crowned in four sports this weekend. The boys soccer title match is at 7 tonight at North Park University. The league cross-country meet will be Saturday at Washington Park, with the girls race at 10 a.m. and the boys at 10:45. Finally, the girls volleyball final is at 3 p.m. Saturday at the UIC gymnastics gym.

The quarterback rating for Wheaton Warrenville South's Illinois-bound Reilly O'Toole is a mind-boggling 260.3 according to the NCAA formula and 152.0 using the NFL formula from primecomputing.com. Through seven games, O'Toole is 82-for-110 for 1,554 yards with 23 touchdowns and one interception.

Among playoff-eligible football schools, Simeon leads with 366 points, followed by Plainfield South (342), Senn (320) and Vernon Hills (310). On defense, Vernon Hills, which faces high-scoring Lake Forest in a North Suburban crossover tonight, has not allowed a point; Richmond-Burton 36, Senn 38, Marmion 46 and Prairie Ridge 49.
SMALL BALL TO PEORIA
The Illinois High School Association Class 1A/2A baseball state finals will move to Peoria beginning this spring. The 3A/4A finals will remain in Joliet.
