Texas State runs over Prairie View 28-3

Chris Nutall ran for two touchdowns and Texas State dominated the line of scrimmage and the clock in a 28-3 win over Prairie View A&M on Saturday night.

Nutall ran off right end for a 4-yard score in the first quarter and the Bobcats (2-0) never looked back. They amassed 242 yards rushing in their home-opener compared with 45 for the Panthers (1-1). Texas State also had the ball more than 16 minutes longer than Prairie View.

Nutall scored again in the second quarter on a 77-yard run to widen the lead to 21-0.

Robert Lowe scored on a 1-yard run in the first quarter and Terrence Franks scored on an 8-yard run in the third for the Bobcats.

Prairie View had more yards passing than Texas State, 182 to 166, but couldn't find the end zone. The Panthers' only score came on a 47-yard field goal by Christopher Barrick.
