Terrell, Western Michigan blow out Ball State 54-7

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) Zach Terrell threw three touchdown passes to Corey Davis and Western Michigan had a school-record 711 yards of total offence in a 54-7 victory over Ball State on Thursday night.

Terrell was 16 of 22 for 324 yards to help Western Michigan (6-3, 5-0 Mid-American) win its fifth straight game. Davis had seven catches for 163 yards, and Jamauri Bogan ran for 171 yards and two touchdowns and 18 carries.

On the third play of the game, Davis had a 65-yard catch-and-run touchdown. Terrell and Davis connected again early in the second quarter on a 17-yard score for a 14-0 lead. After Ball State's three-and-out, Western Michigan went up 20-0 on LeVante Bellamy's 9-yard run. The Broncos scored on their third straight drive when Terrell found Davis for a 23-yard TD strike.

Riley Neal had 78 yards passing and led Ball State (3-7, 2-4) with 38 yards rushing.
