ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) Tennessee and Iowa will meet Jan. 2 in the TaxSlayer Bowl in a matchup of Southeastern Conference and Big Ten foes.
The game will be played at EverBank Field in Jacksonville.
Both teams are looking to put a stamp on otherwise tough seasons.
The Volunteers (6-6) are back in a bowl for the first time since 2010, becoming eligible with a win over Vanderbilt in their regular-season finale. Tennessee is 3-2 all-time in the bowl, formerly known as the Gator Bowl.

The Hawkeyes (7-5) lost three of their last four games, including an overtime, regular-season finale defeat to Nebraska. They lost to LSU in last season's appearance in the Outback Bowl.
