Talented local 2016 prospect commits to Gators

Versatility is an incredibly valuable trait for any young football prospect. It makes the player diverse in terms of what he can do on the field. The versatility also gives a coach the flexibility to plug in the said athlete at multiple spots -- especially if depth at a position is thin.
#UF has landed DE Jachai Polite. #Gators now have 22 commits in their 2016 class.

Florida head coach Jim McElwain will be able to enjoy this premise, with the recent commitment of 2016 athlete Jachai Polite.
A Mainland High School product, Polite opted for the Gators over offers from Miami, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Mississippi State, among others.
At 6'4", 226 pounds, he's a terror off the edge as a pass-rusher. Not only can he get after opposing quarterbacks with his hand in the dirt, but he's also adept at rushing whilst standing up in a hybrid defensive end/outside linebacker role.
Polite can play on the other side of the ball as a tight end if need be. Based upon his Hudl tape, Polite is an active and athletic player with a motor that never stops revving.
He appears to be a very good pickup for McElwain and his staff.
