A pair of suspended Texas-El Paso football players accused of robbery say they are guilty.

Daniel Palmer and Nickolas Sampson, both 20, pleaded guilty Friday to charges that last summer they robbed Rafael Aguilera, who was trying to sell the men stereo equipment.

An El Paso District Attorney's office spokeswoman says the men will serve five years' probation under a deal that defers a criminal conviction. Spokeswoman Renee Railey says that if they don't violate their terms, a judge could seal their cases and dismiss their guilty pleas.

Palmer and Sampson have been suspended from the UTEP football team since their arrests last June.
