Add another name to the Texas quarterback list.

Coach Charlie Strong said he isn't sure who will be the starter in September when the Longhorns open their season at Notre Dame, now Strong just received a QB commitment from Austin (Texas) Westlake's Sam Ehlinger.

Ehlinger who will join Texas in the 2017 recruiting class is a long-time Longhorn fan, as evidenced by his picture he posted on Twitter to announce his commitment.

According to Burntorangenation.com, Ehlinger was offered after a strong summer camp performance at the Under the Lights Camp. Ehlinger is considered a three-star prospect and the No. 11-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Ehlinger threw for 2,300 yards and 24 touchdowns last season. He rushed for 722 more. He's 6-foot-1, 207 pounds and is an accomplished deep-ball thrower.
