Miguel Maysonet set a Stony Brook record for rushing touchdowns and the Seawolves defeated Charleston Southern 50-31 for their school record sixth straight win on Saturday.

Maysonet, who had 21 running scores coming in, needed three to break Bobby Kane's record set in 1996. Maysonet finished the day with four TDs and 182 yards on 17 carries.

Brock Jackolski had 174 yards and two TDs on 20 carries for the Seawolves (6-3, 4-0 Big South Conference), who finished with seven touchdowns and 355 yards rushing.

Kyle Essington, who had Stony Brooks' other rushing TD, was 6 of 12 for 109 yards passing.

Charleston Southern (0-9, 0-4), however, had the opposite effect running the ball. The Buccaneers were held to minus-7 yards on 32 carries.

Richard Mounce led Charleston Southern with three touchdowns and 342 yards on 19 of 41 passing.

The Seawolves missed an extra point, but scored a safety.
